Chicks With Picks Ice Climbing Clinic!

I have found my calling!!! And it is on the ice! November 2006 brought me knowledge of ice climbing. Immediately after hearing what people were doing on frozen waterfalls, I knew I had to do it too. My eyes welled up with tears (though I hid it from my guy friends) and I spent that night and the ENTIRE next week on my computer and at the Mazamas library. I had become obsessed with ice climbing. I practiced my swing with hammers and an unfortunate garage wall; I bought books, e-mailed the top pros in the sport and asked how they arrived where they are; I applied for a scholarship to a women's only ice climbing clinic, which I found on the evening of the deadline.
